I am so happy with Anthony Perosh’s win at the UFC. He started training with me back in 1996 he got the bug and with his unique style of self determination headed to learn from the source -Mainly Carlos Machado in Texas. He would always return to train with us guys at Langes MMA .He dominated in Jiu-jitsu competition in Australia & the USA. Though he received all his grades through Carlos (Bar the time John Simon and I convinced John Will to give him his brown belt ).
I still consider him my student though from around that time on I would receive some of my best Jiu-Jitsu and MMA training techniques/tips from him.(and John Simon) . I find him remarkable because He dominated the competitive Jiu-jitsu scene in Australia for 10 years. Then when on to really be one Australian that has had the most success in the UFC (after been one of the Major forces in MMA in Australia).He never makes excuses and has achieved all his wins and deals with any losses through hard training and a strong mind. I can tell anyone to be able to maintain a international level of competitiveness in the fight arena and run the successful business that he does is a huge accomplishment. Congrats Perosh
